Yellowstone National Park
We have been guides in Yellowstone National Park since 1994 and work for two outstanding companies with their photo tours, Yellowstone Arctic/Yamaha and Yellowstone Mountain Guides. We enjoy being guides in Yellowstone and sharing what we know about the park with our visitors. We love attending the intensive two-day guide-training classes conducted each year by the park staff. Meeting and listening to the research directors who keep us up-to-date on the wildlife research being conducted in the park is fascinating.
We’ve been employed as snowmobile guides for West Yellowstone’s Yellowstone Arctic/Yamaha since 1994 and continue enjoying that role today. By spending many winter months over the years guiding photographers by snowmobile, we know the very best places to make exquisite winter images of Yellowstone National Park. Please consider joining these intensive photographic tours of the park during this special time of the year.
Yellowstone Mountain Guides (Outfitter License #6485) specializes in leading backcountry tours of Yellowstone National Park. We are avid equestrians who ride our horses more than 100 days each year. We are employed as backcountry guides by Terry Search. We work for Terry guiding photographers by horseback to the incredible wonders of Yellowstone’s Cascade Corner which is named after the huge concentration of spectacular waterfalls found there.
If you would like detailed information about the photo tours or wish to enroll now, please contact the companies that we work for directly.

Every day spent in Yellowstone National Park is a rewarding day. We spend as much time in the park as possible. With our experience and enthusiasm for the wonders of Yellowstone, we are confident you will enjoy photographing the amazing landscapes and wildlife of Yellowstone country. Please join one of our small groups.
In all tours, we'll guide you to the best wildlife and landscapes that Yellowstone has to offer. Since we are residents of Yellowstone country, we seldom take any of our own images (as it should be) while leading a tour. Instead, we spend our time together helping you shoot terrific images. We'll guide you to wonderful subjects, suggest possible compositions, solve metering problems, suggest filters to use, demonstrate how to get the finest quality from your equipment, and do everything possible to make sure you go home with numerous spectacular images of Yellowstone National Park. You can expect long, but rewarding days in the park with us. We look forward to sharing with you the special charm of Yellowstone National Park.
